RUNTIME Second phase: 2000-2006

SHORT DESCRIPTION The “Dissemination and further development of the Net-Trainers Training in Europe” is a transfer of innovation project. It is based on the successful project “Net-Trainers” which developed a harmonised training framework and certificate for France, United Kingdom and Germany. A European Net-Trainers Association was founded to deliver the certificate and hold the kite mark. The project results will be implemented in 6 more European countries. The partners will add their national job profiles and experiences in online learning to the common training framework and all 9 partners will deliver the Net-Trainers training so that learners are able to undertake a “Europath” consisting of modules in one of the other languages tutored and certified by the partner institution in their respective language. All learners who successfully complete the course receive a certificate from the European Net-Trainers Association (ENTA), the European Net-Trainers Certificate. As each country is aiming at national certification and accreditation for the European Credit Point Transfer System (ECTS) for higher education, the comparability of certification and the mobility of teachers and trainers will be significantly increased. An advisory board assembles expertise from additional countries and special interest groups who will provide valuable contributions to the project progress. They provide wide experience in the delivery of vocational training e.g. for disabled and unemployed people, as well as research on related subjects. A detailed documentation of the transfer process provides valuable information to enable future transfers of the Net-Trainers training to other countries. The documentation will also be helpful to support comparable transfer processes of other online courses. The existing project website and the training website will be enlarged to six more language versions. Also some new functions will be added to improve the dissemination of the training as well as communication between tutors and learners.
